Shortly after the end of World War One, A/H5N1 or more commonly known as The Spanish Flu spread around the world. Portage la Prairie was no exception and suffered many fatalities. Dr. Gordon Goldsborough  details the spread of the flu in Portage and how a crystal coffin may have come to rest in Hillside Cemetery as a result.

This five-minute film explores the Spanish Flu in Portage and the peculiar legacy left behind by one man it touched.
